The May 2023 GSPC event made history as the very first Pickleball gathering in India to garner extensive media attention. Alia Bhatt, India’s preeminent movie star and the lead in Netflix’s ‘Heart of Stone,’ not only attended but added glamour to the occasion. Anil Kapoor, a revered icon in the Indian film industry, also graced the tournament with his presence.
Many other prominent celebs were also present. Aparshakti Khurrana, Prajakta Kohli, Fatima Sana Sheikh, (Among Others)
Over 350 players participated in the GSPC event, competing in over 20 categories. With over 1100 matches played in 3 days, it was one of India’s biggest Pickleball Tournaments.
